DESCRIPTION:2023 sees Weston Brass reach a considerable milestone as they celebrate 60 years of music making. To mark the occasion\, the band are delighted to invite you to an evening of top-quality music to celebrate the occasion.\nJoining the band will be guest soloist Tom Hutchinson\, principal cornet of the world’s no.1 ranked brass band the Cory Band.\nTom will be showcasing his incredible talents with solo spots throughout the concert – an absolute treat to hear world class musicianship in Weston!\nThe band will be performing an eclectic programme of music that looks back at events and music from the year of their formation\, 1963.\nWe all remember the famous “I have a dream” speech from Martin Luther King… or when the Beatles visited the Birnbeck Pier… or the sensationalist story of the Profumo Affair.\nBut did you know in 1963 we saw the first woman ever to fly in space or that Doctor Who first aired in November of that year?\nThe concert will mark these events and more through well loved music from David Bowie\, The Beatles as well as pieces from the stage & screen.\nThere really will be something for everyone to enjoy!\n\nTickets £10 – £12.50 (booking fee applies) on sale now only at www.ticketsource.co.uk/blakehaytheatre/t-rpalldj\n
